Tillamook Burn

This Sunday I am preforming in a show about the Tillamook Burn, a forest fire in the 1930’s that burned over 300,000 acres of forest and created a mushroom cloud that could be seen from Portland. The project brings together writers and musicians to create pieces inspire by the events of the fire as part of an oral presentation of the history. My piece is inspired by the end of the fire and will be underscored by musician Brian Park. I’ve never collaborated with a musician before and I’m excited to see our pieces come together.
